Whether you're on the Free plan or Pro, here's what's new and how it helps your store.
Google Sheets Import
Adding store locations just got simpler. Mapular now connects directly to Google Sheets.
Go to Import, click "Connect to Google Sheets," enter your Google email, and click "Create Google Sheet." Mapular creates a pre-built spreadsheet with the correct columns and sample data, then shares it with you. Fill in your store locations, click "Sync Now," and your locator is populated. Addresses without coordinates are auto-geocoded. No API keys, no account setup, no technical configuration needed.
If you prefer, CSV upload is still available as an alternative. And the Quick-Start Onboarding still walks you through every step: choosing a layout, customizing the design, and embedding the locator in your theme. Most merchants go from install to live in under five minutes.
Live Support Chat
Every plan, including Free, now includes live support chat directly inside your Shopify admin. No email tickets, no waiting days for a response. If you get stuck during setup or need help later, click the chat icon and talk to a real person.
This is the kind of support that used to be reserved for enterprise plans on other store locator apps. We think every merchant deserves it.
Full Appearance Control
Your store locator should look like it belongs on your site, not like a third-party widget someone bolted on.
With Full Appearance Control (available on Starter and above), you can customize:
- Colors: Match your brand palette exactly
- Fonts: Use your store's typography
- Map styles: Light, dark, satellite, or custom
- Pin icons: Upload your own or choose from our library
- Layout: Sidebar, full-width, or compact grid
The result is a locator that feels native to your brand. No CSS hacking required.
More Layout Options
Speaking of layouts, you now have three to choose from:
- Sidebar: Map on one side, location list on the other. Great for stores with detailed location information.
- Full-width: Map takes center stage. Best for brands with many locations spread across a wide area.
- Compact grid: Clean card-based layout. Ideal for stores with fewer locations where you want each one to stand out.
Switch between layouts any time from the Shopify admin. No re-embedding needed.
Filter and Content Customization
Filters are how customers narrow down which store to visit. Now you have full control over what filters appear and how they work:
- Business hours: Let customers find stores that are open now
- Services: Filter by what each location offers
- Product availability: Show which stores carry specific products (Pro plan)
- Custom fields: Add any filter that makes sense for your business
You also control what information shows on each location card: address, phone, hours, images, directions link, and any custom content you add.
Same Plans, More Value
Here's the best part: none of these features come with a price increase. If you're on the Free plan, you get Google Sheets Import, Quick-Start Onboarding, and Live Support Chat. If you're on Starter, you get Full Appearance Control and all layout options. Advanced and Pro users get everything.
We'd rather give existing customers more value than charge them more. That's the approach we'll keep taking.
