What are ALKIS Flurstücke?
ALKIS Flurstücke are the cadastral parcels of the Amtliches Liegenschaftskatasterinformationssystem, Germany's official real-estate cadastre, maintained by the state surveying authorities. Each Flurstück is a legal land unit with a stable identifier built from Gemarkung, Flur and Flurstücksnummer, plus boundary geometry and official area. Once a search narrows to specific sites, the parcel is where analysis becomes actionable: a region cannot be transacted, a parcel can. This layer delivers those parcels as one harmonised dataset.

Flurstücke define the legal land units of Germany: the cadastre maintained by the state surveying authorities is the authoritative record of parcel boundaries and areas. What we deliver is a data copy of that record, harmonised for analysis, not a legally certified extract. Where a transaction or court requires certification, a beglaubigter Auszug comes from the competent Katasteramt.

For screening, valuation and planning work this distinction rarely matters: the geometry and identifiers are the ones the cadastre carries, and the Flurstückskennzeichen lets you reference any parcel unambiguously in correspondence with authorities and owners.
What attributes do ALKIS Flurstücke carry?
- Parcel geometry: Boundary polygons of each Flurstück as maintained in the cadastre, suitable for overlay, intersection and area analysis in any GIS.
- Cadastral identifiers: Gemarkung, Flur and Flurstücksnummer, combined into the stable Flurstückskennzeichen used by authorities, notaries and the land registry.
- Official area: The parcel area as carried in the cadastre: a registered figure, not a value estimated from the geometry.
- Actual land use: The tatsächliche Nutzung recorded in ALKIS, describing how the land is actually used. Where the state publishes it, we carry it.
ALKIS is an AdV standard, so the core model is the same everywhere. But each state surveying authority publishes its own extract, and the attributes carried beyond that core differ from state to state. We keep what a state publishes and are explicit about what is missing rather than filling gaps with estimates.

A Flurstück is the smallest cadastral land unit in Germany: a contiguous area recorded in the official cadastre (ALKIS) with its own identifier made up of Gemarkung, Flur and Flurstücksnummer. Ownership, transactions and most permits reference Flurstücke.
Does the ALKIS Flurstücke layer include ownership information?
No. Ownership is recorded in the Grundbuch (land registry), not in this layer. The layer carries geometry, identifiers, official area and recorded land use: enough to identify and analyse any parcel before you approach an owner or authority.
Is this a certified cadastral extract?
No. The layer is a harmonised data copy of published cadastral data, made for analysis at scale. A legally certified extract (beglaubigter Auszug) is issued only by the competent Katasteramt.
Why is Bayern not included?
Bayern does not publish its ALKIS parcel data at source in a form we can carry, so there is nothing there for us to carry. The layer covers the 15 states that do publish. If Bayern opens its data, it joins the layer.
