Available Data
An overview of the bundled data layers available in every Mapbook: demographics, purchasing power, and points of interest.
Every Mapbook has access to bundled data layers you can add without uploading anything. These layers cover demographics, purchasing power, and points of interest across multiple countries.
Demographics
| Layer | Coverage | Key attributes |
|---|---|---|
| Germany Demographics | Nationwide | Population (total, male/female), age bands (0-14, 15-29, 30-44, 45-59, 60+), purchasing power, households |
| US Demographics | Nationwide | Population (total, male/female), age bands, median household income |
| Netherlands Demographics | Nationwide | Population (total, male/female), age bands |
German data includes purchasing power in EUR/capita, total EUR, per-mille share of national purchasing power, and a purchasing power index. It also includes household count and average household size.
All demographics are pre-aggregated to H3 hexagonal cells at resolutions 5-9, so the data is always ready to display at any zoom level.

POI categories include grocery retail, food and beverage, shopping, healthcare, transport, hospitality, and more. You can filter by category hierarchy, search by name or brand, and combine multiple POI filters in a single layer.
To find grocery competitors, use the POI layer and filter by the Retail category. Within it you can narrow down to supermarkets, discounters, or smaller grocery formats individually.
